Yes, the faulty purchase is on my side, and I've admitted that all along, but their software also failed to warn me of any issues, which it's suppoed to do, so it's not entirely my fault either. Therefore, it was the fault purchase from your side. I would also want to inform you that we have several option for upgrade in which you can choose from which software do you want to upgrade and you had chosen that software by yourself which you did not even ever had. I would like to inform you that there is no issue with the software, it just the issue of compatibility as you had an OEM version and then you purchased an upgrade for it, which is not possible. I've offered several times to pay the difference to get the full version, I think it was $20 or $30 difference between the upgrade and full version at that time. Even if the software install didn't work properly, I realize I bought the wrong version in the first place. I'm not being entirely unreasonable on this. Cyberlink's software failed to function properly and they're telling me that's my problem.not acceptable. All because the update I purchased didn't detect my OEM version properly and didn't notify me there was a problem. Now several months later, when I want to move the software to a dedicated "media" machine, I find my purchase was "invalid" and am being told my only option is to repay full price for the full version. I did not get the error I was supposed to get, and by their own admission, I'm told the software installation should have failed, at which point I would have learned of the problem, contacted customer support and corrected my mistake. I purchased a PDVD7 Ultra to PDVD9 Ultra upgrade and it upgraded my OEM version of 7 to 9 Ultra just fine. My problem is quite different in that I, quite unwitingly, purchased the wrong version of the software. (At that time I didn't know the problem still existed in 9). This is why I purchased the upgrade in the first place, hoping "this" problem would be fixed. I was having problems with certain standard def DVDs where they would play scrambled, a problem I gather which originated in version 7 and wasn't fixed until later patches of version 9 (Though I have not confirmed this personally yet). In regards to "Dafydd Bevan - SoftDeko"s post, I would like to note that I do have an LG BD drive and my OEM copy of 7 worked fine for BD under Windows 7 Ultimate 圆4 for the 3 or 4 disks I tried at the time. After some back and forth e-mails support resonded ![]() I contacted them, they canceled the old key and issued me a new one.easy peasy. ![]() I assumed that would simply mean a new license key since this is what I had to do with a number of other software packages. They obviously missunderstood since it was installed and running just fine.I didn't want to install it on a second machine, I just wanted to move it. Now, I would suggest you to purchase the full version of PowerDVD 10 Ultra from our Online Store from CyberLink. That is why you never been able to install it because you need to have the previous version of PowerDVD 7 or 8 Ultra. In regards to your issue, I would like to inform you that as you stated you had PowerDVD 7 OEM bundled with your computer, therefore, the upgrade that you have purchased which is PowerDVD 9 Ultra from 7/8 Ultra is invalid purchase. ![]() I understand that you are using upgraded version of PowerDVD 9 ultra from 7/8 Ultra and you are unable to install it on your second computer.
